Emerging Adelaide Jazz Singer, Ashley Ellen to perform pre-show at Take Five – The Dave Brubeck Story, Brighton Performing Arts Centre

Talented emerging jazz singer, Ashleigh Ellen and guitarist, Luka Polaine will perform pre-show entertainment in the foyer/bar area of the theatre at Brighton Performing Arts Centre prior to TAKE FIVE – The Dave Brubeck Story on 24th September. Ashleigh is studying Jazz Voice Performance at the Elder Conservatorium of Music. She began her musical journey at the age of 12, teaching herself to play piano and later discovered a passion for singing during high school. She became involved in events within her community in the Adelaide Hills: performing at school music nights, Open Mic nights, and in 2015, led the Mount Barker Carols in the Park. Since being accepted into the Jazz course at Adelaide University, Ashleigh’s unique voice has adapted to extend her repertoire, covering diverse musical genres. Come early to hear Ashley and Luka in the bar from 6:15 for a single set prior to the show (TAKE FIVE starts at 7:30pm).
