Ah Hum!

Adelaide Fringe - Rooftop Bar at Kent Town Hotel

Basic Ah Hum! A3_PosterCocinando Con Latin-jazz showcases dance music that migrated from Cuba and Puerto Rico to New York City, evolving into contemporary genres, Nuyorican Soul and Latin-jazz.

Ah Hum! Australian ten-piece Latin sensation, features singer/dancers, dynamic horns and powerful percussion, with Nepalese bassist Chi Thapa and pianist, Brendan Fitzgerald. Hailing from Chile, El Salvador, USA, Japan and Australia. These musicians have a wealth of international performing experience.

Ah Hum! Fuses driving rhythms, hot brass, saxophone, piano and bass lifting you to your feet with their infectious grooves of mambo, salsa, cumbia and cha cha cha. Mixing jazz arrangements with Afro-Cuban rhythms, this music cooks up a spicy melange of sounds.

Party with Ah Hum! At the Kent Town Hotel roof-top for a picante feast that will whet your appetite for more.

★★★★ “This is a band I will be looking out for through the year. Accomplished, infectious and a whole lot of Latin fun!” The Clothesline, 2015
