eMotion Music’s revised and expanded production, MOJITO! will be listed on the Fringetix website for early ticket sales on 25th October. We are running five shows at The Top Room, Arkaba Hotel, Glen Osmond Road, Parkside from Wednesday, 21st to Sunday 25th February. MOJITO! is returning in a new two-hour version including interval, so why not make a night of it with our host, Ernest Hemingway at his La Bodeguita Del Medio cocktail bar and our lineup of stellar international and Australian Latin musicians.

Adelaide Fringe - Magic Mirror Spiegeltent at The Garden of Unearthly Delights
MOJITO!, eMotion Music’s 2017 Adelaide Fringe production is coming your way on 5th and 6th March at the Magic Mirror Spiegeltent, Garden of Unearthly Delights. This Latin cabaret/concert features Adelaide’s own Charmaine Jones-Devasagayam together with exceptional Canadian-born singer, Nancy Ruth and bassist, Juan Soto both coming from Spain to join our ensemble of nine performers, Grupo Mojito. We will also welcome the phenomenal Cuban trumpeter, Lazaro Numa performing in MOJITO!.
The show is hosted by Ben Gatehouse as the enigmatic legendary writer, Ernest Hemingway who lived in both Cuba and Spain. It is set in his favourite Havana mojito bar, La Bodeguita Del Medio. Great music and guaranteed to be a cool cocktail of fun for all!

TAKE FIVE has enjoyed rave responses in its previous outings in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne. Satomi Ohnishi, drums, Quinton Dunne, double bass and Peter Raidel, alto sax perform this seminal music with Brendan at the piano, recreating the indelible melodies and colliding rhythms of the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Dave’s story is told by Brendan against a backdrop of archival images from his life and times, while French multimedia artist/videographer, Samuel Morin blends live vision of the musicians into the visual montage with a visually sensual and captivating effect.
Doors open at 6pm with foyer bar and pre-show entertainment by emerging talented jazz singer, Ashley Ellen and guitarist, Luka Polain.

0 Emerging Adelaide Jazz Singer, Ashley Ellen to perform pre-show at Take Five – The Dave Brubeck Story, Brighton Performing Arts Centre
Talented emerging jazz singer, Ashleigh Ellen and guitarist, Luka Polaine will perform pre-show entertainment in the foyer/bar area of the theatre at Brighton Performing Arts Centre prior to TAKE FIVE – The Dave Brubeck Story on 24th September. Ashleigh is studying Jazz Voice Performance at the Elder Conservatorium of Music. She began her musical journey at the age of 12, teaching herself to play piano and later discovered a passion for singing during high school. She became involved in events within her community in the Adelaide Hills: performing at school music nights, Open Mic nights, and in 2015, led the Mount Barker Carols in the Park. Since being accepted into the Jazz course at Adelaide University, Ashleigh’s unique voice has adapted to extend her repertoire, covering diverse musical genres. Come early to hear Ashley and Luka in the bar from 6:15 for a single set prior to the show (TAKE FIVE starts at 7:30pm).
