TAKE FIVE has enjoyed rave responses in its previous outings in Adelaide, Sydney and Melbourne. Satomi Ohnishi, drums, Quinton Dunne, double bass and Peter Raidel, alto sax perform this seminal music with Brendan at the piano, recreating the indelible melodies and colliding rhythms of the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Dave’s story is told by Brendan against a backdrop of archival images from his life and times, while French multimedia artist/videographer, Samuel Morin blends live vision of the musicians into the visual montage with a visually sensual and captivating effect.
